By downloading, accessing, or using the Vellune website or app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Vellune.
Beta software
Vellune is beta software provided for evaluation and personal or academic research use. Features may change, be unavailable, or contain errors. The website and app are provided “as is” and “as available,” to the extent permitted by applicable law. No particular availability, support, or preservation of data is promised.
Your files and backups
Your library is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining backups and for protecting access to your device. Vellune is not responsible for loss of local data, including loss caused by device failure, deletion, or app changes.
Research materials and third-party services
You are responsible for ensuring that your use, download, storage, and sharing of papers and other materials complies with applicable law and the rights and terms that apply to those materials. Search, metadata, paper-hosting, and optional AI services are provided by third parties and are subject to their own terms and privacy practices. Vellune does not control those services.
Acceptable use
Use Vellune lawfully. Do not use it to interfere with the website or services, attempt unauthorized access, or violate another person's rights. You may not redistribute Vellune installers or represent modified versions as official Vellune releases without the developer's permission.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the beta develops. The date above indicates the latest revision. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
